Hazel and Daren McAleese now run the farm shop

The farm shop now offers many delights.  Fresh local meat, cheese, milk, bread, cakes, chutneys and jams, plus much more.   Have your tried their home reared Saddleback pork yet? Great joints and chops as well as pure pork sausage and tasty pork and apple burgers.  The bacon just melts in your mouth.  What are you waiting for? its local and its fresh.  We also offer gluten free sausages, just as tasty but gluten free!

There is a range of fresh fruit and vegetables available, seasonable and reasonable!!!

The chillers and freezers are stocked with dexter beef and venison from Deer n Dexter, Penrudduck.  Highland beef from Bank Head Crosby Ravensworth and cheese and butter from Winter Tarn at Shap.  

On the  well stocked shop shelves you will find cakes and biscuits from Country Fare, Mallestang, jams and chutneys from Just William and Old Water view Patterdale.   Tray bakes and fruit pies from Kath Earl Longmarton.

The shop also offers gifts and crafts such as hand made cards and soft furnishings, door stops and jewelry.

Of course you can also still purchase products from Bessy Beck Smoked House, smoked trout pate, smoked chicken, duck, salmon and pheasant.   

Almost as famous as our Smoked Trout Pate, we also offer our very special Trout Cakes, these are all made by hand at Bessy Beck with our own Smoked Trout. You really should try these to see just how good they are. We also do a gluten free trout cake, its made from our smoked trout but coated in sesame seeds rather than breadcrumbs, delightful!

 

The shop is open Wed to Sun 10.00 till 5pm
