Bessy Beck continues to fish very well, there is an abundance of fly life at the moment. Cadis flies, up wings of various types and midge, and in the evenings there are some very large sedges hatching.
The East wind was troublesome early in the month but in the last few days things have warmed up and fishing is as good as ever.
Tony Taylor from Penrith had a good catchof 14 fish one morning using a CDC Shuttlecock Buzzer. Arnold Patefield caught over 20 fish one evening using a small Black Klinkhammer. Ron and Marion Baldwin did well last Tuesday both having double figure catches using one of Ron's special Dry Flies.
Best flies have been CDC Emergers, small size 16 and 18 F Flies, Sedges of various types and Klinkhammers. Damsel flies have also done well.
