Sent to Trout Fisherman magazine for September issue.
Sidney Barber caught 8 including one of 8.5 lbs. Two days later on his next visit he had a blue of 6.5lbs. All were caught on a Back Fritz. Tony Wheatcroft caught and released a rainbow trout estimated to be 15lbs. The successful fly was a damsel nymph.
Damsel flies are around the lakes in great numbers, their nymph imitations being most successful. There have been some terrific evening rises, on one of these occasions regular angler Arnold Patefield had 12 fish to 4.5lbs using a black Klinkhammer dry fly.
The rod average for June was 4.5.
