Angling Report - May 2013

Fish have been taking well on the Island Lake despite the mixed weather, the Mallard as always has been producing lots of fish.

Mr McCallum had a good day on the 3rd catching 10 fish on buzzer. The following day Cavin Greer caught 12 fish also on buzzer.

Buzzer continued to do well on the 6th when Mr R Campbell caught 18 fish on a green version.

Using a Black and Peacock spider Tom Clayton caught 32 fish on the 8th. A J Ryon had 10 fish using the same method.

Fish can now be seen rising throughout the day however the evening fishing from 8.00pm until 10.00 can be the best time. Black flies are doing best, Black Hoppers, Sedges and Klinkhammers are all worth trying.

Arnold Patefield caught over 20 fish on the 14th using mainly Buzzers.

The Lakes continued to fish well towards the end of the month with evening fishing being really good.

S Scott had 12 onthe 20th and Mr Parsons 10 fish on the 25th. Many anglers had good catches of between 8 and 10 fish.
