2010 Competitions

Troutmasters

Troutmasters competition is Eupope's biggest flyfishing competition where over 10,000 anglers take part at over 200 fisheries.

Captors of the three biggest fish every month from each member water win a Troutmasters badge.

At the end of the year all badge winners  will be asked to enter a fish off  at the water where they won their badge to decide who will get an invitation to the grand final.

The grand final winner will receive a number of prizes including a cash prize of £500 plus promotion in the pages of Trout Fisherman Magazine.

Troutmasters  2008

Only open to those anglers who have qualified by catching one of the three largest fish caught at Bessy Beck each month during 2008. 

This years Troutmasters Champion was Graeme Bell who went on to compete in the final at Grafham Water on 18th May 2009.

Graeme acieved an outstanding 5th place out of 140 anglers taking part.

Troutmasters 2009

The Bessy Beck fish off is scheduled to take place on 20th March 2010.

CEFF / Airflow Competition 2010

A heat will take place on 14th April 2010 for individuals and teams of three.

Bessy Beck Dry Fly Competition

Monday 18th May 2009, 4.00pm-9.00pm

This is an annual event now linked with the Cumbria Fishing Festival.

This years winner was Richard Hold, seen here in the left of the picture fishing in the competition.

 

Bessy Beck Open Fly Fishing Competition

Friday 22nd May 2009, 4.00pm - 9.00pm

This is an annual event now linked with the Cumbria Fishing Festival.

The winner gets a cup and there are prizes.
